Nankai University Students Win the First Prize of the 9th International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Moot Court Competition

On 4 to 6 December, the 9th International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Moot Court Competition was held in Xiamen University. Nankai team won the first prize, standing out among 30 colleges from all over the country. Nankai team consisted of 6 students from School of Law, graduate student Dong Jieqing and undergraduate student Huo Jingru performed at the oral arguments. China College Students International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Moot Court Competition started in 2007, sponsored by International Committee of the Red Cross. English is the language of the competition. The judges consisted of experts on International Law and International Humanitarian Law from different countries and regions. The sponsor aimed at promoting college students' interests in International Humanitarian Law through the moot court competition, and improving the teaching of International Humanitarian Law and International Law.
